A RAIB report on a metro sliding door incident

You might not be Metro traveler but this report about somebody who gets caught in a closing door (don’t worry they are OK… they run off) shows the detailed engineering design that must follow from your “simple” specification of a sliding door on a bus or train.  Informative, well worth a read.
PS If you read the report will you be surprised that it is DBTW or, to you Deutsche Bahn (Regio) Tyne and Wear.  Yes the German Governement (owns 51% of DB) runs our Metro – the DB Regio (a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn)
